The Paris Merveilles Lido Dinner and Show is held in the Lido de Paris theater over on the avenue of Champs-Élysées.  This treasure filled theater has thousands of tassels and gilded mosaics, but it is the elegant nighttime colors in the hall leading to the theater that brings luxury to this space and makes it memorable to every guest.

The theater seats more than one thousand one hundred people, although it is common for the shows to sell out quickly on most nights.

Paris Merveilles is directed by Franco Dragone and from start to finish there are sparkling lights and feathers everywhere!  The lights make the sequins on the Bluebell Girls’ costumes sparkle, while the feathers add even more visual appeal.  The powerful scenery makes every audience member think that they have been transported back in time, but that is even overpowered by the extraordinary talent of the performers on stage.

The Bluebell Girls began back in 1932 and they have long been known for their sophisticated and sexy dance routines.  The Bluebell Girls have been performing at the Lido since 1948, and twelve Lido Boys join them on stage each evening.  Together they light up the stage with their routines and brilliant smiles.

There are different placements for dinners and they include the Soirée Plume, Soirée Étoile, Soirée Champs-Élysées, and Soirée Triomphe.  The menu for Soirée Plume offers prawns or marinated salmon for the appetizer followed by a choice of sea bream or guinea fowl supreme for the main course.  Dessert is amazing with options of a strawberry dome or a chocolate and apricot duo.  The Soirée Étoile menu is the same but it includes a glass of champagne as well as a half bottle of wine.

There are many more options available on the Soirée Champs-Élysées menu including green asparagus panna cotta, foie gras with pistachio crisp and chocolate nibs, and king prawns for an appetizer.  The main meal choices include cod curry, a duckling filet, and roasted veal.  Champagne or wine complements this meal perfectly, as does the dessert options of chocolate raspberry summer millefeuille, vacherin cake, and creamy semolina pudding.

The Soirée Triomphe menu includes bouillabaisse gelée, pan fried foie gras, or lobster medallion, while the main course options are stuffed sea bass and roasted fillet of beef.  Champagne or wine is included, as are mineral water and coffee.  The coffee will go perfectly with either the apricot soft cake or the strawberry parfait for dessert.

Guests should be prepared to arrive between seven and seven-thirty in the evening to be seated and listen to the welcome.  The pre-show and serving of the aperitif are promptly at half past seven and dinner begins exactly at eight.  The show starts at nine, which is when everyone is either finished with their meal or enjoying the last bites of dessert with their coffee.  The show lasts for one hour and forty-five minutes, although many audience members prefer that it continued on forever.

The Paris Merveilles Lido Dinner and Show is the best option for many people, but some may prefer to take advantage of their Lunch and Show, or simply go to watch the show itself.  There is no wrong or right way to see this spectacular performance, as long as everyone sees it at least once when they are visiting Paris.

There is also a special performance held on New Year’s Eve each year and the menu is changed to allow guests to experience the best food for their special evening of celebration.
