Our semi-private Pompeii day tours depart from Rome with pick up and drop off included at centrally located hotels (limited to 7-8 people per vehicle).

This tour features a guided 2-hour walking tour of Pompeii combined with Positano & the scenic Amalfi Coast road. Lunch is included in a small, family-run restaurant, set in the hills and overlooking the magnificent Bay of Naples and Sorrento.

In Positano guests will have time to explore the lovely coastal village and its traditional shops, relax on the beach, have a swim and eat ice-cream.

Semi-private Day Tour from Rome to Pompeii & the Amalfi Coast. The trip includes a 2 hr guided walking tour of Pompeii and a light lunch (see details above).
Pick up and drop off from centrally situated Rome hotels is included, and the tour is limited to 7/8 people per vehicle.

The tour will include:
A visit to the famous archaeological site of Pompeii, with a two-hour tour conducted by our local English speaking expert guide. Youξwill enjoy a journey back in time as they visit the must-see highlights of this site.ξYou will learn about life in Ancient Pompeii Рthe habits, lifestyles and peculiarities of the Ancient Romans as they tour the ancient market areas, food stalls, typical Roman homes, brothels, and admire the delightful frescoes all preserved by an erupting volcano that still dominates the Pompeii skyline.

ŒæOur next destination is a family-run authentic restaurant, in the hills overlooking the Bay of Sorrento,Œæ whereŒæyou will enjoy a light lunch in a family-run restaurant (who also produce olive oil that guests can try). Lunch consists of: Pasta with fresh tomatoes sauce or other home-grown seasonal vegetables, Caprese Salad (Mozzarella cheese and locally-produced tomatoes) water and limoncello Œ_ other drinks not included.

In the afternoon weŒÍll spend 1.5 hours exploring Positano, where you can enjoy a walk around the delightful village with its white and pastel-coloured houses littering the hillside. Take time to visit the beautiful beaches, where you can relax or have a swim, stroll around the ancient fishing port and see the splendid majolica dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta.ŒæYou can also peruse the traditional artisan shops and enjoy a taste of the “Dolce Vita”.
