¥ Agios Georgios
It is one the archeological sites located near the Pegeia city. The site is believed to be a Christian settlement back in the 6th century. The settlement was dug up in the 1950s and three basilicas and a bath were discovered. Later on when future excavations were carried out in 1990s other ruins of the ancient city were also discovered which included the transportation path from Egypt to Constantinople. Along with these you can also witness various other buildings that were found such as guest houses, country yards, wells and oil press. The most famous destination in the settlement is the Agios Georgios which is scared place for pilgrimage in this region, and is positioned between the basilica sites and the necropolis (graveyard).

Within the southern slopes of the Troodos Mountain you will find Platres, a historic village in Cyprus. The village is the largest resort in Troodos and one of the villages that makes the famous Cyprus wine. The history of the village dates back to the ancient Venetian and Lusignan eras.
